We've got two months under our belt and school is just around the corner. I'm not yet ready to give up our summer of taking things slow but time marches on. Evan had his 1st soccer game last Monday and I almost cried watching him run and have fun knowing where he had been a few months ago. He was so proud of his uniform and though he didn't score, he was very willing to go after the ball. A few times he would stop to line the ball up just right before he kicked it and the other kids let him. Yesterday Sarah and Avery had practice and when I told him no to his soccer stuff he cried.
He has picked up more words and said "me want home" the other day. He counts when Avery doesn't do what he wants right away. (He gets higher than 3) About a week ago he saw stars in the sky and got very excited as if he'd never seen them before. Each night he wants to go outside and see them. I can't wait until it gets dark early and he sees hundreds of them instead of the few he can see at nine. We went to King's Island on Thursday and he loved the bumper cars and sloow rides. He did not like the water rides or the kiddie roller coaster. I think they were too unpredictable.
