Merry Christmas

It is a little sad knowing you have child and not being able to share the joy of Christmas with him.  I wish he were with us this year sharing the magic of the day and experiencing all the wonder.  Merry Christmas Evan!

six months and waiting

I realized that today was 6 months since I first saw Evan.  When you begin a process that someone tells you will take 10-12 months you never quite believe them.  Even when I was pregnant, I always thought I would deliver early. HaHa, the kids got later and later with each one.  But there is a kind of beauty in the waiting; a time for reflection and planning that can't happen when the child has arrived.  Even though those thoughts are known to be somewhat of a fantasy, it is nice to be able to think them.

Immigration Approval

We received our immigration approval yesterday the 10 of December.  This needed to be faxed to our agency to be sent to China with our dossier.  Our next step is for CCAA (Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs) to give us a Log In Date (LID) and hopefully a Letter of Acceptance (LOA).  Once we have the LOA we can apply to immigration again, this time for acceptance of Evan to come into the country.  The last one was to approve us as parents.  Please pray that this part of the process may go quickly.
