six months and waiting

I realized that today was 6 months since I first saw Evan.  When you begin a process that someone tells you will take 10-12 months you never quite believe them.  Even when I was pregnant, I always thought I would deliver early. HaHa, the kids got later and later with each one.  But there is a kind of beauty in the waiting; a time for reflection and planning that can't happen when the child has arrived.  Even though those thoughts are known to be somewhat of a fantasy, it is nice to be able to think them.
