Wow, what a difference 24 hrs makes. yesterday we had been waiting most of the day to get to the airport and then our flight was delayed for 3 1/2 hrs. We had no idea how long delayed as the english at the shanghai airport was not so good. We were finally put on a bus and drove a while before we went to plane then we waited on plane. they served dinner and then quickly picked it up (whether you were done or not) so airplane could leave. We arrived @ 10:30 exhausted and ate banana and chips for dinner. Our hotel room was very small and disappointing. However today was great. our translator was a big help in us getting a much better room. guangzhou is a lot like florida, very hot and instead of feeling like the odd couple(triple) we are one of many who have asian children. Evan Yigang has been a real trooper. he does not get frustrated when we don't understand him and chatters mandarin as if we did. He is putting up with our english and bad chinese. I am so thankful I learned the words I did and we make it work. More and more of his personality is coming out. he has a happy disposition and loves joking. When hes told no (boo) he pouts for a short while, but no tantrums. he loves coke, pizza and hamburgers. Instead of ordering chinese food, he prefers the above - he was destined to be and American haha. We have experienced so many things I can't writed them all or even remember. thank goodness for cameras. Evan had his medical appointment today and all went well. he sat for his TB test without even flinching. God is so good and it is so evident he was made for our family. I will attach pictures from today. we love and miss all our kids and are glad we are counting down to coming home. P.S. Evan lost his tooth tonight; how to explain the tooth fairy? :)
Beth - these updates are so great. Just because people aren't commenting doesn't mean we're not reading! Keep 'em coming...
